The Community Centre is home to the only Jewish kindergarten in Wellington and many Jewish education programmes from a cheder for children to adult education programmes.

Moriah Kindergarten

Moriah Kindergarten is a private kindergarten for pre-schoolers firmly grounded in Jewish values and culture. Moriah Kindergarten firmly believes in the importance of early childhood education, the role of the family and community, and encourages children to develop a strong sense of values. The centre’s close proximity to the central city is convenient for working parents and also for families in a variety of surrounding suburbs.

Community-based programmes

Several community-based programmes are based in the centre, including:

• weekly cheder for pre-bar/bat mitzvah education 
• shiruim studying parashat hashuvah and contemporary Jewish issues
• Hebrew language ulpanim.
